Thread: So the NIN changes

Well, as a small disclaimer, some of the skills at the jobguide may have been typoed, so maybe they are missing on one or 2 details.

But from what I get, NIN's GCD combo DPS is going to be nerfed quite a bit. Not only they lose Dripping Blades Trait and the Slashing debuff bonus. Most of the skills ups in potency can't cover what the old potencies did with the buffs.

For example, Aeolians Edge new potency of 420 is actually weaker than the old AE with 340 potency because the 30% bonus upped it to 442.

Pretty sure the greater buff on NIN is currently Bunshin with the juicy double attack, but the clone will do something like a 40~50% damage of what you do, and its already been nerfed from the Media Tour, as it is said to give only 4 Ninki per hit instead of another 8.

TCJ has been buffed with an extra 50% bonus, so now its more of a candidate to use inside TA, but is it better than Bunshin?

Meisui is a tricky one, from what I see its a DPS loss if you use it on a raw Suiton for the sake of Bhavacakra. This because Meisui only accounts for 40 Ninki, which is half a Bhava, which in turn is 250 Potency, for a total of 380. In my opinion, Meisui should be used either after TCJ or for the sake of using Bunshin, not on CD.

On that note, however, I believe Shuriken can actually be used over Raiton, but only in a Bunshin window IF doing Raiton will make you lose a GCD in the Bunshin Window. Otherwise Raiton all the way.

Kassatsu will be fun, 30% bonus is pretty good since, as it was, the guaranteed Crit was like a "this Ninjutsu will do 50% more damage but can't crit", now its going to be 2 Ninjutsus with 30% bonus damage that CAN crit. Thats pretty fun.

What are your opinions??

Remember that at the Media Tour Bunshin also applied its own SF DoT, aside from yours, and was also a 40~50% of what your DoT is.
If that feature persisted to date, then you do want to have an SF in your Bunshin.
