Thank god I decided to stay on crystal.

Thank god I decided to stay on crystal.

It shows crystal as larger probably because people made alts on crystalIt wouldn't surprise me if they've lowered the threshold on a server becoming congested, in preparation for the launch of Shadowbringers.
The most recent LuckyBancho census (13th of June) shows the population of Crystal, Aether, and Primal at 161,839, 154,954, and 150,251 respectively (although the amount of players who have completed the 4.1 MSQ is much lower on Crystal.)
While this census is obviously unofficial, and should be taken with a grain of salt (although the results are taken directly from the lodestone), it's still an indication on possible server load for each of the datacenters at launch.
That, or there's been a massive exodus from Crystal to Aether/Primal between the 13th and the 27th, although I find that a bit less believable.
It probably won't help, since it's ridiculously easy to circumvent the auto-kick.

All the doomsaying over crystal is hilarious now Aether is completely locked and you know they won't let any of those servers become standard again till people move out.
Gonna be fun actually being able to login on release!
Those of us on Zalera and Brynhildr are truly gonna be living it up with our smaller queues... until Balmung comes knocking =/
Pretty sure the majority of the Aether/Primal servers aren't even congested for real, but SE decided to lock them anyways because of the amount of people that will be returning to the game just because of the expansion. It'll go back to normal in a week or two. I'm almost certain they just locked everything to prevent the servers from melting in case numbers spike too high. Not only that but also to try making people populate anything not balmung Crystal.

in a little over an hour EVERYTHING is going to be 100% congested.
Yeah I can chime in for Goblin as well, been a fun switch seeing more active newbies than afk vets. Do not regret my decision to change at all.
