Thread: No Flying in 5.0???

They already showed you the travel tab for the zones, you need some sort of pink gem, most likely from doing FATEs, rather than collecting the currents.

In the LL in may he actually flew with preorder mount in the new zone

That being said, it'll probably still be unlocked through Aetherial Currents found with the compass and rewards from quests so you get it only once you're done with the zone.

The only problem I have with flying mounts is if they don't have wings they shouldn't be able to fly, flying goobues look wrong lol. When they first introduced flying I did think it was stupid GC choco couldn't fly not to mention you got a black chocobo that could fly but you had to find the currents to be able to fly. Having just finished Heavensward, it was irritating that gathering was being hampered by having to quest currents and progress MSQ to be able to get to some currents.

Not even that, they show you on a flying mount several times in the benchmark. Underwater too!
