Instance server crashed before even without trust - now that 1 person can run instance, instead of 4,it will increase load on instance server by A LOT.
I think it will be worse than raubahn extreme, it will be Ultimate Trust - Rau was just one instance, Trust will impact every instance. This is the one thing i'm worried about.
Because of gnb/drk/mch/dnc/smn, there will be surge in tanks/dps - healers seem unpopular, so i think healers will have instant queue, tanks a bit of wait, and dps long queue.
There's always more dps, so when tanks and healers are done with a instance, the remaining dps are screwed, so then only options are trust or if some tank/healer pop in from roulette.
How can a single person running an instance feel more like a massively multiplayer game? - see the clue there in the name?
This trust system is the opposite of the core of an mmorpg. It caters to the single player, I don't want to wait for anything mentality that has negatively impacted the mmo genre.
If you want to play on your own, even with a cart load of macro'd automatons, then play something else.
FFXIV does not need this dilution, this misguided, misdirection away from an mmorpg.
A bad move, and one that can only damage once more the group ethos of what an mmorpg is about.
Forget Raubahn extreme, it will be Raubahn savage!
Hope not...
It's great with options. You can play the game the way you like it, and for your own reasons, and others can too.How can a single person running an instance feel more like a massively multiplayer game? - see the clue there in the name?

It's nonsense argument to say, if you want to play solo, play something else.
It's like saying: if you like fishing, go fish instead of playing games.
I'll admit to not really reading any of this, but...
If this is ultimately a question of efficiency for DPS Queues, i guess it's an... alternative. for 71+ anyway. But you have to consider, from the media toure stuff and all our favorite content creators playing with eachother and trusts, it'll take over double the average time to clear. Gotta factor that in, too.
The best of Trust system is that you don't have to deal with speed-runners that burned the game in a day and pretend you have watched a vid of the duty finder dungeon you are going to do with them and being kicked because your playstyle is "different".
i like to play alone too most of the times and im not gonna play something else. Thats the nice thing about his game, i can play how I want to. If I wanna queue up with people I can, and if not I go with trusts. Its nice to have the option. My mmo experience doesnt have to be like yours, or someone elses. also were still playing with other ppl 95% of the content. since its only the shb story dunegons that can use trusts. its also a great option for people who play on times when there is not much going on, including myself. i play active in the early mornings and if i can avoid a 30min+ queue ill do so.How can a single person running an instance feel more like a massively multiplayer game? - see the clue there in the name?

You think it's more MMO playing solo with bots?
Don't get me wrong, I like the trust system and it has it's place for like story progression, but... It makes it somehow more MMO? Really?
Back in the hay day of FFXI we had to actually communicate to other people to get stuff done. Wanted to form a party to level? Shout in Jeuno or Whitegate for an hour and try to get a decent selection of jobs in the party. Ran for 30 minutes to your destination and the Paladin wants the Ranger to pull mobs for him? Tell him he's dumb and have someone who the tank could quickly provoke the mob off of pull. Red Mage is attacking with a sword or dagger because he doesn't have the Refresh and Haste spells since he can't afford them? "Heal/Haste/Refresh only! Bye!"
Now we just queue for instanced content and maybe once in a while say "Hi" to a random group of people. Or in the case of the new trust content, do a dungeon like it was a single player game.
Convenience is great, and I am very glad I don't have to deal with forming groups the old fashioned way. But claiming it's more "Massively Multiplayer Online" by playing by running stuff with bots is odd to claim.

I can understand the need of trust system for easing queue time for specific role. Just a month ago trying to queue Doma Castle with my MNK and it took more than 15min to get a party.
Back when DF/PF is not available in MMO, I have to waste a lot of time shouting and forming and waiting for a full party to do anything even a noob dungeon, and if you join the game late where everyone have progressed to higher content aka eureka, I am Sorry
Even back in those day communitcation isn’t any better than now having PF/DF. Shout for a group, ppl join, say hello and start the fight, say goodbye once it finish and probably never see the same player again. Sometimes there will be chat, but so can DF/PF form group.
Socialisation happen in FC and guild, that’s what they are for
