The problem you mentioned was prevelent prior to the formation of the Special Task Force. Since then that has been almost non-existant thanks to their vigulence, One can only hope that carries over to FFXIV.Although I agree with you 100% and I also one of the guys that said only one group can claim a mob at any time, but still I think most of the people wanted this because of the RMT, like what happened in FFXI.
RMT usually never outnumber real players but they camp an NM 24/7, and even if they outnumber players, you see them competing against each other.
I know this option will destroy small group's chances of claiming NM's, but they still can do that in dungeons.
I agree with ya Gath, this question was to prepare peeps for when the real NMs / HNMs come, cause things could or will get ugly when that happens lol
I like Yoshi-P's third choice.
The best choice is to have whoever hits it for something first, they get it. Makes things fun too![]()
Ok, Hello Everyone, Hi, How you doing it's malakii baby, come to take a peek and comment. So here i go.... Now, I am not in favor of allowing a bunch of people to gather together and just team up and kill one monster by just brute force called zerging. I mean does this mean that a the part sized for a group is ??. I mean yes, it would be cool is some instance against a god it's self for the party size to be ??, but to let people use unkown amounts of people with no boundary limit will just serve in people with no skill having some of the best armor in the game. Now, no i am not trying to be a dick and be like those guys don't deserve it, but what i am trying to get at is that if we allow everyone in the game to just have the best stuff because we can add unimaginable amounts of members against one beast the armor worth wouldn't be really anything to feel accomplished by. It would be more like waiting in line to get your checked cashed you know it coming sooner or later. you just have to wait a short time. I like the rarity and worth of gear that FFXI had. At the beggining if you had a Dalmy or a Adaman Hauberk you were hot shit, and even after the game had been out for many years it was still an amazing peice of gear and only those with decent skill had one. Then came out harder things like A.V. and P.W. with even lesser people have those items. Those that has these items you knew they knew they're jobs they were with an amazing shell and they had the core basic of the game down. Not just a bunch of kids running around smack smacking on everything. I felt FFXI had a much older group of members because everything wasn't basic and it took strategy to kill some monster as well as using the enviroments to your advantage. Now a quick segement on how i feel about the raids, raids are amazing features to introduce into a MMORPG it allows the developers to do some much more in such a contained space instead of having to worry about the whole worlds and the effects to the world it will cause. Now i do enjoy raids but I don't want to see Time Spawned NM's go away because of it. I use to love camping nm's, i mean yeah at time it sucks but @ time it's alot of fun to out claim another linkshell, or to beat them to a nm when you all the way @ Dragon's Aery but oh shit timmy just poped, and everyone is racing for the teleport mea spells or some accidently hit the cure macro instead of there tele macro, and people are putting on nexus capes (tanks and other holders till the rest get there to warp to the exact spot.) alot in montion and alot of fun when the race does go down. Well these just a few opinion on how i feel and i hope i didn't repeat too much of what others where saying.
Thanks for your time,
I agree with instanced endgame, but as far as raids, it's not Final Fantasy-esque, I mean having some for like Dynamis was incredible, but otherwise, I mean I see where you're getting at but raiding is for casuals, and clearly, this game is run by the hardcore.Ok, Hello Everyone, Hi, How you doing it's malakii baby, come to take a peek and comment. Thanks for your time,
Oh i know man, i would be hardcore right now but the marine corps has me locked away in afghanistan but as soon as i come home. I will grab as many dr. pepper's i can get and all the taco bell and be glued for days on in. Till my eyeball dry up and i am drooling from FFXIV Syndrome lol. I agree with you tho bro, i would rather not see raids in FFXIV at all, i don't want this to come or to be remotely like wow, and i feel with some of the additions they want to add in, it may make it like that.
Yeah I know, it can be bad what people want to copy, but I think SE will make the better choices.Oh i know man, i would be hardcore right now but the marine corps has me locked away in afghanistan but as soon as i come home. btw, Thank You for serving our country ^^V
^^ thisDidn't the same poll also include a question that resulted in people wanting instanced bosses/dungeon areas? Frankly the idea of world spawn bosses and such is so dated that stuff like this shouldn't be considered anymore; put the bosses in the group's own instance and let them have fun with it there.
I really don't think it is going to be an issue.
I've played far too many games where I've had mobs stolen from me. I'll be happily fighting a mob with my melee character, and some over-powered mage will come running up behind me and nuke the mob with a one-shot spell. He not only gets the xp for it, but also the loot, and I'm left with nothing but irritation. (Yes, this is a specific example, but other similar situations have happened as well.) If somebody claims a mob, nobody else should be able to come in and kill it off, AND get sp/xp/loot/whatever off of it. First person or group to hit it should get the claim.
