Ordered a physical copy of Shadowbringers for PS4 so going to be waiting for standard release to figure out what's going on.

I'm sure there'll be people spoiling with pictures and chatter during early access. Honestly, I'm looking forward to that. To those of you who plan to post about Shadowbringers early--thank you. Just builds more hype as far as I'm concerned.

You do realize you get early access if you preordered a physical copy right? Its not not digital ones that get that bonus for preordering.

False, I didn't ordered physical copy and got early access. It's for people who orders the CE, with the special gunblade, minion, mount AND early access.

If you pre-ordered that physical copy, you should have received a code for early access so you can play this weekend. Early access doesnt require the physical game disk to work. The 1 Day maint on Thursday is going to bucket dump all of the ShB content patch into the game and you only need a code registered to enter the areas. Check your order information for your PS4 copy. There should've been a code bundled with it on the invoice email or in order information on the site itself.

You misunderstand what Valkyrie is saying. She’s saying that even those who preorder physical copies still have the ability to play during Early Access. They just need to download the launcher and new patch on the 27th, and then input the code that comes with their disc to verify their standard or collector’s edition once they get it.

Early Access isn’t limited to digital downloads only. As long as they inputted their preorder/Early Access code, they will be able to enjoy it on the 28th with everyone else.

I mean I preordered off Amazon and the delivery arrives on July 2. I figure I'll have access to character customization changes, but my experience with Stormblood was that unless there's a physical disc I can't do any MSQ stuff or new areas. Also won't get the Shadowbringers logo background until I get physically setup. My understanding is early access gets to kick off after the update, so 28th or so? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong of course, I haven't properly looked this stuff up so much as am connecting dots.

EDIT: It is cool collector's edition people get to play early with codes, it's all a bit mysterious to me though haha. Far as I know I'm not getting any pre-order perks with aetherite earrings either because of amazon. What can ya do.
