Question about the "MY NEW VIERA AND HROTHGAR CONTEST"

So part of the submission process for participation in this event is to include your character name. Seeing as how a lot of people who made these Hrothgar and Viera characters plan to change into them come 5.0, many will probably also be changing their names to match! I am one such person, and i am left to wonder... If i change my name, will i be ineligible for a potential prize from this contest? If not, what steps can I take to ensure I can still receive one?

Edit: I forgot to mention that the premise of this question is based around the fact that usually the judging period for these contests is at least a few weeks in length, thus probably a month or more into 5.0's release. Do we need to hold off changing our names to match our new bunny overlords for that long?

Wait till the contest is over to change your name.

That means waiting until at least August, most likely. I've participated in these contests before. It's very rare you receive your reward within a month's time, after the end of the contest (The contest entry period is already over, as of the 21st). A name change is kind of mandatory if you participate in role play of any sort, which as the recent allowance of server visitation has proven, is a whole lot more people than just those on Balmung. We now have more people visiting from other servers to RP than we have of our own, at most times of the day.

No, is not mandatory. Just because over your head or at the chat say X does not mean is your character name. Not to mention that you can always clarify OOC. As I side note, if someone uses it without your character presenting her/him first, that person is doing meta roleplaying.

Anyway, in theory, SE can track any name change. Still, to be sure the best option is to wait.
