Gender change and Mog Station items

I'm quite shocked because I have just been told on reddit that we can't trade male items we buy from Mog Station for female ones. I thought you could trade all of them, but I can't get why that isn't the case.

So instead of being outraged, we should be making a thread / petition to ask Square Enix / the FFXIV team to allow gendered items to be exchanged for the equivalent item of the correct gender. For all past, present and future items placed in events and straight-to-Mogstation items with a male or female only tag.

Can we please just stop with throwing shade as a default and actually push for changes like civilized people?
