Keybinds are horrible

1. there needs to be a button on the bottom of the keyboard menu where it says "Unbind Key".

2. Why cant I keybind Shift+Mouse scroll up/down to switch pages?

3. Why cant I keybind Shift+1-12=?

4. Why cant we keybind something and automatically have it unbind whatever it was keybound as?

This idea of making a game where both hands are on keyboard is horrible. SE should know by now that anyone playing on PC plays with a mouse and probably has invested into a gaming mouse. I'm having to invent for myself a new way to keybind my things because of these limitation. This UI feels like its made for the "clicker" who doesnt know the meaning and the art of keybinding.

Agree nobody plays PC games with two hands on keyboard.

Yoshi-p should have it sorted though as he is supposedly a avid MMO player.

Mouse is only useful to move the camera. All of you haven't found the real way of gaming yet.

OP has a point. I myself went keyboard-only in XI, and now i'm all keyb+mouse in XIV - since alpha - and i've really seen only minor upgrades considering the system as a whole from my perspective.

I understand that this game has some heavy console-friendly solutions in it - and for a reason, too - but having somewhat crippled controlling methods, limited macroing and hardly a customisable UI, is really starting to shine through.

I hope that we "now have enough content we can enjoy and drown ourselves in", so the devs could take a moment to put some more emphasis on the means of actually allowing us to take better control of it.

I really hope they give us the option to have more then one action bar up and be able to bind my keys however i want. I can't stand using 1-0. I also always have 1 hand on my mouse when playing!

I use mouse and keyboard. It feels much better than that wonky IJKL camera. Though I really can't say that I care too much about those keybindings to throw hissy fit. They'd be nice to have though. Just saying, Square.

Mouse for camera? I just map the camera keys to A S D W and my numpad is for moving my character. Don't use the mouse, that rat-tailed beast, it is EVIL!

I'm too used to walk with WASD..^^'
I could move the camera with keys though, but I never found it as smooth as moving the camera with the mouse.
No zooming in and out with scrolling either..a while ago though, the batteries in my mouse died and I HAD to play without it.
Wasn't that much different but I noticed I can't switch between tabs on my retainer without it °-°
It's a CONSPIRACY.
