Wipes are fine. Failing is part of the learning process and accidents happen even to competent groups. There are fights where all it takes is a brief moment of inattention and it's down the hole with half the party (*cough* Suzaku *cough*).

However, what isn't fine is usually some kind of human element dragging the party down. People who give up too easily and leave (often followed by other flakes if not immediately replaced) and people who refuse to improve and expect to get carried probably contribute more to the likelihood of repeated wiping than just the sum of their personal incompetence.

Wiping itself is easy to laugh off, but damage to morale is... awkward. I'm a very non-confrontational person and sometimes I feel so helpless when I see the problem but I'm too afraid to point it out because it might sour the mood ,_,

I generally don't mind raid wipes. I'm pretty patient when it comes to raiding tbh. Now what I don't handle well is people getting rude about raid wipes. Everyone learns at their own pace. For me I need to actually experience a fight to learn it. Watching videos and reading mechanics has never been a good way for me to learn I just can't retain it that way. Same with how I learn anything tbh I need to actually put it into practice myself and learn from my mistakes. I can generally pick things up within about 3 times of doing it.

Now if I make mistakes I own up to them and try my best to correct them. However if I'm in a group that just isn't getting it I'll stick it out through the end of raid time but if I can tell it's not going to be a good fit for me then I'll back out and find a different group to progress with. But I don't take it out on other people in the group and I generally keep it to myself but I will let the raid leader know that "hey this isn't working for me but thank you for having me." Although if I'm dying because someone is dropping mechanics on me I yell at my screen lol. But again that's kept to myself. What also annoys me is people that leave or rage ridiculously after one or two wipes, like chill if it's progression it's not that serious. You flipping out on everyone isn't helping and is actually most likely only making things worse. But like I said I'm pretty patience when learning. Now if something is considered a "farm" party and we're wiping left and right? Yeah I'm leaving before I waste my time lol.

Really depends if I feel my time is being wasted or not. Sometimes you have a bunch of sprouts who are just doing the fight for their main story then I can understand not knowing every single fight and that wiping is just part of the learning process, especially the fights where mechanics actually matter and aren't just faceroll like (Nabriales, Nidhogg, etc.)

But when you join a Lakshmi farm group and people are too lazy to YouTube the fight so they at least sort of know what's going on and they nuke half the raid with the cone and then proceed to do the EXACT SAME THING the next pull after being told what to do, I have zero patience for that.

I remain calm and try to spread positivity. Unless someone is refusing to learn. I have ran into too many players that get all uppity when presented with a better way to do things.

How do you handle raid wipes?
I throw a tantrum and ragequit while calling everyone noobs!

But seriously, I usually laugh it off or just rez and redo. Though I'll admit I have sadistic appreciation for clever trolling. If it's something clever that wipes the raid, I'll chuckle about it as I run back, maybe even /tell the person that I'm amused. It's hard to be clever with trolling in this game, though. Jury is still out on whether that's good or bad.

Normally I just {Doma Castle} and carry on, but if its one of those {Duty Completion} o11s Panto 2 Practice groups that is wiping at level checker then I die a little inside because I just can't get a clear.
