I have also now reinstalled the game and still getting the same issue... I am hoping the 5.0 patch fixes this issue or i will be unable to play the game.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
To clarify, does this crash occur when you log in the game, or while playing it? Your first comment was a little vague. If in-game, do you notice any patterns to the crash?
You may want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.
Make sure not to have any overlays active while playing the game (Steam overlay, Geforce Experience, etc.).
If you have any part of your computer overclocked, remove it and make sure nothing is overheating.
