You're not entitled to optional items just because you pay a monthly sub. I honestly can't comprehend where this mentality even comes from. You realize they don't even have to create any of those items to begin with right? You're not owed anything that's on the mogstation. There's also way more mounts and outfits that are obtainable through in-game means, so it's not like they are gating every single cosmetic behind a paywall like BDO does. They are extra optional items that if someone wants them at any point, then they exist for those that want to purchase them. They aren't going to slash their profits because a very very small minority thinks they are overpriced and somehow think they are owed them for free.Maybe brainwashed was a bit hard, but, you can't tell that the system have nothing wrong with it, or else noone would be complaining. It's just your opinion here. Like I have my opinion against that system. And the OP made this thread because he also felt that something was wrong in that system. Anyway thisis going nowhere, so I will just stop answering it, I already said my opinion and I will just repeat myself more and more, I find that system broken and that's all.
The only thing I can see that's wrong with it is that a lot of the non-fantasia/jump potion items aren't account wide and some of the mounts could be at least a two-seater, but aside from that it's fine.Maybe brainwashed was a bit hard, but, you can't tell that the system have nothing wrong with it, or else noone would be complaining. I guess its rather subjective, but I would agree that some of the stuff on the mogstation are a wee bit overpriced. I image it depends largely on where you are from, and how much you make.
I would also agree that there are VERY few cheaper or better priced in game stores around. Or fairer in the content offered.
I was refering to the ones that complain but buy stuff anyway. If they truly valued it "differently" they wouldn't complain, to start with. But in buying the item they just keep shooting themselves on the foot, and that's not a good consumer attitude, isn't it? :PJust because someone values something differently than you, doesn't mean they're a flawed consumer.
The idea that something that is a non-essential luxury is overpriced has always confused me. When the demand is purely "cause I want it" , then the market sets the value. If it was overpriced then it wouldn't sell.
My main complaint remains the same : rather than price, what bothers me is when items are not account wide. It is not alt-friendly.
I never said anything about them not being in the company? They are most certainly still Square Enix. They just run differently. More independently. They kind of do their own thing, especially in terms of their MogStation releases. While the NA, EU, and JP teams work together to make all the releases they have available for all their audiences in more unified and global way.As far as I know, all copyrights still seem to be own by Square Enix, no matter the country (as we can see on both chinese and korean FFXIV websites). But if you have any official statement that confirm the opposite that would be very helpful to me since this keeps coming back and forth.

Oh, you meant "the players in china/korea have to pay for these items so we have to pay as well". Sorry then, I misunderstood. I thought you were implying, like some others here, that Square Enix itself had to pay the licences back to sell them on our mogstation. Sorry.I never said anything about them not being in the company? They are most certainly still Square Enix. They just run differently. More independently. After starting up ESO....
These mogstation micro transactions are relatively reasonably priced.........
Also everything in the mogstore is optional. Don't like it don't buy it. I know people will say thats not an excuse they pay a sub! Well, I can't help you there. It's either you buy it or you don't.
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
Ah, I see. Sorry about that, I guess I should have clarified who I was referring to. Glad it was just a misunderstanding. I was really confused.
