Ability to make FC member's names show as a different color?

currently if you have a friend their name will show in orange. i would like to know if by fiddling in the chat log settings i will be able to do the same for members of the fc i'm in

Are you talking about the names in the chat window, or the floating names over players heads?
Pretty sure both can be changed. The Chat window would be the chat settings (gear at the bottom of the chat window)
As for the floating names, that would be somewhere in the Character settings if I'm remembering correctly (been awhile since I've messed with settings.)

Isn't orange floating text names for people on your friends list? Not in your FC.
As far as chat window text colour, as DragonFlyy said it's in chat settings, the little gear at the bottom of your chat window.
As far as changing floating text for FC members I'm not sure you can. I know you can change Friends, Alliance, other players text colour, and party members, but I don't see anything for FC... (I could be wrong though.)

Pretty sure you're right, then again this has been something I wish they did since ARR. Maybe it got patched in by now, I just know you couldnt for a looooong time, so I just forgot about it, till OP brought it up

This is correct. Currently, there is no way to change the name plate color for your FC mates unless you add them to your friends list (and then, they just show up as whatever color you have it set for your friends).
