Aero III and II macro

Hi! This is really quick but I just wanted to ask those of you who are good with macros if you could help me make one that does something super simple,

One that casts Aero III and then immediately after that casts Aero II

Any suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!

Would be a pretty basic one.

Should work well enough for the next week before ShB comes and removes Aero III.

I'd advise against it. <wait> only works in full second increments, so your GCD would essentially be 3 instead of whatever you have. Also, you can't queue up (when you press another action a half second before it's actually ready to have it fire off ASAP) macros, making them bad for things you use often.

I'm in agreement with Urthdigger here, you should not be macroing GCD abilities.
Why not?
Well first of all, macros don't queue like spells do (demonstration) So you will be losing casts over the course of the fight.
And secondly, Aero2 and Aero3 have different DoT durations, so you're either going to be clipping Aero3, or letting Aero2 drop off.

About the only combat thing I have macro for is rez, Swiftcast + Raise. That's about it. Tried some others, generally epic fail.

I use mouseover macros to heal and a mouseover res/swiftcast macro. Mouseover macros improve my response time so I never have to worry about changing my target I just mouseover whoever needs healing/ressing on my party/raid list and hit my bind. I understand the downsides of macros in FFXIV, but as I said my response time is much improved through the use of my mouseover macros.

They are offering advice.

I'm not sure where anyone has specifically mentioned your use of macro's.

I myself also use MO macros for some single target GCD healing abilities as I am more accustomed to MO healing from other MMOs and when I have tried without I have not adjusted as quickly as I have liked and have just gone back to using MO. Cards as AST are the main thing I do not use MO for though to be able to weave around malefic without biting into the next GCD.

Typically though I find the MO GCD heals I have are rarely used outside of Regen/Asp. Ben/Adlo.

I apologize if my post came off antagonistic, it was not my intent. I emphasized the "my" 's in my post specifically because, while others may be able to play quite well without such mouseover macros, I (emphasis made to point at me specifically so as not to broadly imply that my way is somehow good for everyone) am considerably worse without them. I was trying, in I suppose a too subtle and not quite successful fashion, to point out that macros aren't always bad to use in some cases for some people (even dps), especially if (like myself) you perform worse without them.

Another example for me is that I currently have a dps macro for BRD. I'm the type of player who mashes their buttons constantly during the gcd so everything seems to fire off regularly when I play BRD. If I tried to keep track of all the stuff in my macro manually... half of those skills wouldn't get used as much as they do with the macro. Here's the macro so you can see it... and yes I realize I'd do way better dps not using it if I could handle the mental and finger gymnastics required, but sadly I am bad (and I feel bad) and I can't. It's why I only use BRD when solo so as not to subject others to my badness. >_>

I know everyone looking at that macro is face palming right now >_< but I honestly perform worse trying to play BRD the "right" way. Again I only solo when I use BRD so no one else is subjected my bad dps >_>

I will admit I use something similar to this as BRD because it makes mages ballad easier.

But I still think an aero macro like the one requested is probably still not a good as there is not as much gain as with this BRD macro.

However as someone with small hands i appreciate minimal keybinds. 5.0 surely helps with this in a way and also makes the macro uneccessary ^^
