The encouraging part is that none of those things happened twice.

After ARR's launch, SE fixed the server queue system so the numpad0 spam was no longer necessary. The server put you in a queue when it needed to and that worked properly after that.
After HW's nonsense, SE implemented zone sharding. So now if a zone instance was too full, the server would just make another one and on you went.
Yoshi P has already talked about what they learned from the Raubahn fiasco, and we've already seen that their instance queuing system works quite differently now.

So will there likely be something that stalls us out this time? Yeah probably. But it'll be something new.
