Mateus too. We RPers gotta make it a little easier for folks to get around. lol
For the ilvl of the new content... Looking back at Heavensward and Stormblood gear, the first gear you came across was 15 ilvls behind the upgraded versions of the last tomestones. For HW you had Augmented Ironworks at 130, gear started at 115. For SB you had the Augmented Shire gear at 270, gear started at 255.
Using that as a pattern, Augmented Scaevan is 400, the lvl 70 Shadowbringers gear should be 385.
And the MSQ will give you level appropriate gear as it progresses and early on dump on you lots of ilvl 385 HQ gear in case your not full of (Augmented) Scaevan gear.

I mean as probably mentioned before, they will more then likely give you new gear in the first couple of quests to get you geared enough to run the first dungeon. I wouldn't worry too much on the gear department to some extent.
The 2nd quest at the start of Heavensward started with helms: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...t/585d354ee15/
The 4th quest in Stormblood also started giving you helms: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...t/55a711a443a/
The dungeons/trials between while you are leveling are also not Ilvl locked so as long as you have decent equipment you should be fine.
The best equipment that were level 50 were 130, while the gear we got HQ at lvl50 for HW were 115 then 120 at lv51. Based on the trend, they will give lv70 gear that is 15 ilvl short of the highest currently. So bascially we'll be getitng free 385 HQ gear during the first couple of quests.

If you're a gatherer/crafter then its best to stockpile some materia for overmelds. You should also prepare your retainers, your hunters should be wearing a decent amount ivl gear so it doesn't need to be replaced until they've hit level 70. Your gather retainers should be wearing the highest level gear obtainable from the scripts. This should have it so they can also gather up to level 70 without problem - giving you time to craft/prepare for your 'endgame' craft and gather gear before working on them.

The important exception is that, if it follows the same format as other unlockable classes (RDM/SAM/BLU), we should be getting Lv60 starter gear for dancer and gunbreaker - probably i255, since the Lv50 sets are i115.
You can attempt to pull materia off gear now. Right-click the item and select Retrieve Materia, about halfway down the list.

At a 40% success rate, meaning I'll destroy so much of my materia just to get the gear into the glam dresser. I get that in a week, this top-of-the-line Materia is going to be second rate, but so would any gear I would buy with tomestones or gil, which is why I'm reluctant. Any welfare gear I get from Shadowbringers should be much easier to acquire vs what my options would be this week.
You can upgrade your armor without putting your eureka gear the dresser. Just assumed that you had 350 Eureka gear your ilvl wasn't great and you asked what to do to prepare. Even if your accessories are fine I would definitely get your armor and weapon up to make the start a little less painful. Yeah the first few quests will probably pump free gear to you but if you're still doing end game content might as well use those tomestones for something.
