I have and will always feel the Race Specific attributes are pretty much irrelevant. They haven't ever been truly used and have gone as far as removing the additional attributes we were able to add ourselves.

The racial stats are kind of irrelevant. The biggest difference you can get is by 5 points (with 18 minimum and 23 max), it's going to have such a minimal effect on damage, healing or max HP it really doesn't matter.

I'm pretty sure they did.

Edit: Just checked, starting attributes are still there. Though it really says how little they matter since probably less then 1% of people care, and thats including people who do the highest level content.
