Well, it's a good idea, the way the developer's are planning it. You can only go from zero upwards, no going into the negative numbers.

I am seeing troll threads receiving rate ups... I would like to throw out a suggestion that the like feature only be secluded in parts of the forums that matter - like suggestion areas. People being visually rewarded for bad behavior is a teeth gnasher for me. I am sure others would agree. But if it isn't something that can be sequestered to certain portions of the forums, I guess I will have to learn not to gnash my teeth!

Edit Add: Also, a person shouldn't be able to rate themselves up on their own post. That definitely should go out the window if nothing else can be done.

I don't see the "Like" button on Firefox 4 but I do on IE. I'll check back in a bit and open a thread in website bugs if it's not resolved itself by then.

EDIT:

If forum language is set to English(EU) then the Like! button does not appear.

Seems like it. I can't see the like button on English(EU) either. Works on NA though.
