Can't find chocobo challenges

Hi, i'm enjoing chocobo races and i wanted to start looking for level 3 abilities (i'm pedigree 6 right now)..
On the various wikis i see in internet they say you can unlock them doing the challenges..But the npc does not have the option T_T

What am i doing wrong? Do i need to be at a specific higher pedigree? or maybe rank?

I'll admit, I missed them for a while myself, but they should be right there in the menus from the NPC that signs you up for races (Race Chocobo Registrar).

The first challenge requires a chocobo "rating" of merely 41, so if you're pedigree 6, you should be able to meet that easily. You can find your current chocobo's rating directly underneath its exp bar in the Gold Saucer > Chocobo menu.

I Always retire them when they are rank 40. I'll try do as you Say. Thanks a lot.

Not Rank 41, Rating. Underneath the exp bar in the chocobo menu it will say "Rating" next to a 3 digit number. At Pedigree 9, it caps at 300. I am not referring to Rank.


Since I couldn't find any screenshots of the menu, I looked for video this time around.
• Speak with the Racing Chocobo Registrar
• Select "Enter a Race"
• Select "Chocobo Challenge"
• Select a challenge (since you haven't completed any, only "Race 1 - Hugging the Inside [Rating: 41]" should be available)
it should be as simple as that.
