I think bringing back collision will fix this issue sooner, but people complain about having to walk around someone or not being able to run through monsters...

I don't understand why you keep saying this. Shields still clipped with things with collision activated. Ever wear a robe? WITH collision on, it would fold weird AND collide with the targe shields. Thanks for the positive support for this from everyone. Like some of you said they are looking at it for 2.0 and I hope the option is there. Also since typing this I have come across the Warriors with the sweet helm that would be even more bad arse with the visor down.

with Model Clipping on, the hood would rest on the shield not go through it. sure it would probably still clip a little but that's to be expected in any digital art where Movement of an other wise static object is required, and the robe's folding in on itself and flapping like an exorcist movie still happens its a physics glitch has nothing to with clipping.

In the concept art, you can see /hood and /visor options for DRG, WAR, and WHM.

I'd really love to see this in-game -- Though hood-up on WHM will cause issues with hats.. (would toggle hat visibility?)
