I'm saying that people don't need fancy graphics to enjoy a video game. If they did, nobody would have enjoyed video games until relatively recently.

Definitely with you there. Having gone from DOS to N64 and onwards from there, there are so many games that are far below the mark of this one, but looked impressive at the time - and sometimes still do.

Things don't have to be photorealistic all the time, and if you've found the one corner of the world where they've left the seams exposed, that's a pity but just ignore it and move on with enjoying the rest of the game.
