I remember the complaints about Hien's outfit when it was released.

Interestingly those clouds in your image look better than that tree in South Shroud.
I have high standards for FFXIV and when I see something like that tree in the game it takes away from the quality this game normally puts forth. I know Hien/Raubhan and their clothes exist but that's been commonplace in gear/clothing, not so much the beautiful environment of XIV. It just seems like an oversight by the lead designer, not so much intended considering how the rest of the game looks. This game could at least use a higher texture patch for specific places that are this obvious.

To me i do not make such the big deal of it as i deal with lower quality images all the time as a Printer and Graphic Designer that people supply us.
Only thing i would think should for sure have higher res textures is clothing and NPCs at the very least, Raubahn for example in some cutscenes... yeah it does look bad

I actually found that years ago and reported that glitch to the development team. They still have not fixed that area yet? WOW.While on the subject of things that look bad: I don't know if it's still there, but a while back I found a part of the cliff in Coerthas Western that had no collision detection; you could walk right through it and be "inside" the cliff. It was somewhere along the lower southwest area not super far from Falcon's Nest.

Am I the only one who doesn't care if there are grainy textures here and there? As long as everything is recognizable for what it's supposed to be and the game is enjoyable then I'm good.

Indeed - things are there, recognisable and don't visibly pop into existence as you approach them.
The game world looks gorgeous overall - the scenery and weather look stunning, and if you can see the pixels, just don't look so closely.
No your not the only one. The problem we have here is there are people who have a graphics fetish and will go out of their way to find issues with a games graphics.
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
Come on now, there's quite a big difference between being able to naturally find something like this without trying to, and intentionally going out of your way (particularly to OOB areas that were obviously never even meant to be traversed) to find them. This is like going out of bounds, and then complaining that the trees are flat.
Please be a sarcasm/bait thread.
I stumbled upon that probably around a couple years ago by now as well. It's quite possible that they've addressed it by now, but not sure.I actually found that years ago and reported that glitch to the development team. They still have not fixed that area yet? WOW.
