Grass is right in your face though, also they did improve the grass in beta of ARR (they were in the notes like 3 different times) so someone must have agreed. Also no regrets lol, the pixels were more obvious than the ones on our gear- it was really really obvious (and everywhere, because it's grass).

Not sure what you mean by I was there "it was still the complaining about it". Like no one can ask for something to get better? I know some people said the game would end without it getting better (lol oh boy) but there is a difference from asking for a change and being hyperbolic of course (but not everyone was the same person lol).

I do wish I was a bit nicer about it though (if I had wrote that thread today I'd say only once I thought it looked not good, and not repeat it as that was unnecessary- young and excited for ARR maybe?), but I do think it was an important change to greatly improve the environment appearance (the changes to patterns to make them more natural and the shadow patch they added being some of the best changes they made, helped blend the plants a lot better).

Also I think what we ended up with is pretty good and much better than where we started on that, no idea if the thread influenced that but I'm glad it didn't stay the same because like pixels on gear I constantly noticed the pixels on the plants (since you didn't need your camera next to them to see it, even zoomed out it was obvious).

I've always been shocked on people's response on that, obvious most frequently repeated pixel object everywhere and you ask to have it toned down and everyone loses their minds lol . Actually had someone wish me physical harm, someone attempting to ban the thread, and a few one to two word swear word posts. I never said the game will die or it has to be fixed "today" and the subject is an object that is in the foreground and highly repeated (not something you have to try to see), so I shouldn't be lumped in with people who did ask for a change hyperbolic-ly.

Going against the grain here and am going to say, yeah, that bit in OP's screenshot does look rather egregious and unprofessional. This is coming from someone who didn't notice or care about Hien's clothes.

While on the subject of things that look bad: I don't know if it's still there, but a while back I found a part of the cliff in Coerthas Western that had no collision detection; you could walk right through it and be "inside" the cliff. It was somewhere along the lower southwest area not super far from Falcon's Nest.

Because it has holes I thought it was supposed to be LoD tree textures, reminds me of the ones that were sometimes bugged in Dark Souls:
