Vidu didn't ask you if you used your pet. He/She asked you if you used the yellow carbuncle or the blue one. It is important to know which one to use in dungeons. You're not supposed to use the yellow one in dungeons, and the blue one needs to be controlled manually, or it will push away enemies whenever and its truly annoying.

(To be fair: I also contemplated the possiblity that there was no pet at all...)

I just want to point out again that there is no level 19 dungeon, only Copperbell which will sync you down to level 19, but is a level 17-dungeon... oh... oh, wait... killing the bombs at the slime-boss (or having an uncontrolled carby kill them) would be a good reason to kick someone who isnt new to the dungeon (a level 60 BLM isnt) aswell...

XD i did that well i even show them how to do it but i got kicked before reaching the boss
