Vidu didn't ask you if you used your pet. He/She asked you if you used the yellow carbuncle or the blue one. It is important to know which one to use in dungeons. You're not supposed to use the yellow one in dungeons, and the blue one needs to be controlled manually, or it will push away enemies whenever and its truly annoying.

Also, the level of the dungeon does not matter. Just because it's Sastasha or Tamtara or whatnot dosen't mean you can do whatever and troll around, imo.
