Another "Always Bet On Black" bug

Killed the boss, got the message "Always Bet On Black objectives complete!", got thrown out of the instance without getting quest completion. Game now acts like the entire fight never happened. No one else in the party got this bug.

Class/Level: Entered as BLM 50, changed to THM inside (all seven other party members also changed job/class and still got credit)
Area and Coordinates: South Thanalan, (35,37), instance
Party or Solo: Party
Monster Name: Barbatos, Void Lantern

No connection problems or anything of that nature during the fight. The basic chain of events was that I accepted the quest and followed it through to the boss fight. Everyone in the party entered as BLM and then removed their job, and some switched their class entirely (for instance, to Gladiator or Conjurer). I was the only one not to receive credit for completion, and after receiving the message ""Always Bet On Black" objectives complete! You are no longer bound by duty." (and receiving an earth shard from the boss, which indicates the system did give me credit for the kill, just not the quest), I was removed from the instance (edit to clarify: I was well within the instance boundary). Quest log didn't update, no post-battle cutscene was triggered (I received the pre-battle one like normal), and I can reenter the fight as if I'd never done it in the first place.

Edit again: There's another thread in this forum regarding an identical issue with The Chorus Of Cataclysm, so it seems this problem isn't limited solely to this one quest.
