Help on transfering from to PS4 to PC

Question about transfering to pc i have a digital copy of the game up to SB that i got from the JP psn store on my ps4. My question is if i am gonna buy a pc copy of the game can i buy it from a differrent region and would still be able to play my character from ps4? Without any issue about region lock or something.

Sorry, but no. When your account was first created it was region locked at that point, so if you bought/registered a JP version of the game, then all other platforms (and expansions) also have to come from the same region.

If you were to get a PC version from the same region though, then yes you could attach it to your existing account and play on both PC and PS4 (with the single subscription, but not on both at the same time)

Edit: If you want to check your account region, log in to the Mogstation then goto the "Square Enix Account Settings" (top right) and select "Account Information". After confirming your date of birth it'll come up with a page that will have the region on it.

Thank you for the response! Btw do i still need to buy all the past expansions again like HW and SB when i transfer? Or i could just get the upcoming expansion and the past expansions would be included there?

You should only need to buy Shadowbringers as it includes previous expansions, but I'm fairly certain that you wouldn't be able to access your character on the non-upgraded account (which would be PC for you) until release (or early access if you preorder) due to its level and possibly the location that it is left at. You'd still be able to play on playstation until release, though if you plan on returning to ps4 afterwards you'd have to get the expansion for it as well.
