Alright, so... I'm not holding out much hope. But this is something that bothers me -- and has bothered me for several years.
It will probably sound stupid but... well, it's something that truly affects the game, for me (I struggle with OCD).
Basically, I have two characters; my *original* Miqo'te Monk, and a relatively new character that I just bought a paid story-skip and job-boost. I also completed the FFXV event and got the car with him, although I suppose it's not the end of the world if I lost that...
The reason I'm not happy with this, my original character, is because his "starting job" is Pugilist, and I originally joined the Twin Adders.
There are two reasons this is a problem (for me, personally). First, because when using Fantasia, it shows whatever your ORIGINAL class was, meaning that original choice is tracked, even if you don't realize it.
Secondly, the Unending Journal for re-watching cutscenes is permanently marked by which GC you originally joined. So even if I change GC now, it will always show that I joined the Twin Adders FIRST.
WHAT I AM ASKING FOR IS THIS...
Is there any way, whatsoever, that it might be possible to have my original character "edited" in some way, that he shows having started as a Gladiator, and having joined the Immortal Flames? (or alternatively, started as a Marauder and joined Maelstrom? whatever might be deemed the most "canon" in terms of lore and story)?
Or barring that, if everything I've done on my original character, including mounts and minions, and maybe even my House be transferred over to my newly-boosted character?
I'm not holding out much hope, to be honest. I'll probably just have to quit the game again, because Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder just really, really sucks. But I thought I'd at least ASK, in the off-chance that anyone even remotely connected to FFXIV or Square-Enix might be able to do something to "fix" any of this stuff for me>
Because I really do love FFXIV, and wish I could continue playing it. I would literally do almost anything to be able to play the game again, without worrying about these stupid little details, if they could be "fixed" somehow...
