Audio problem = Crashing

I've been having this problem ever since yesterday, no idea why but whenever the audio bugs out it either stays "muted" or it crashes. Luckily I took a screenshot of the error log and the picture can be found here https://imgur.com/e2c9EIs

In case you're wondering, this is my system spec:

Is Final Fantasy XIV the only program that experiences audio crashes? What is your audio set up like? Are you using speakers or headphones? If you are using headphones, what kind are you using?

Is Final Fantasy XIV the only program that experiences audio crashes? A: So far, yes.

What is your audio set up like? A: Well it is set up with headset that supports 7.1 surround sound. It's using 16 bits and 48000 Hz, if that answers your question.

Are you using speakers or headphones? If you are using headphones, what kind are you using? A: Yes i am using headphones, i am using Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 7.1 RGB Gaming Headset.

Have there been any updates or changes made to the PC recently? A: No new updates that i can think of really, i did however do a "Reset PC", and kept the old files. Maybe that's what caused it i'm not sure but it's possible.

What have you tried to alleviate the problem? A: I've tried uninstalling and reinstallning my headphones, tried to switch on/off spatial sound on my headphones from off to Windows Sonic. But other than that there's not much else I can think of trying. I can try to use my in-ear headphones, but since i game for hours, the in-ear would just hurt my ears more than help it.

Could you also provide a system report? A:

Thank you for the reply Devirius.

The game will utilize the default audio device for it's sound. It looks like the crash you are getting is related to the audio. Unfortunately, the error doesn't tell us exactly which audio device is the issue though. In order to rule out potential variables, disconnect any additional audio devices that are plugged into your PC (speakers, other headphones, etc). Some controllers (like the PS4 controller) can be read as a speaker because they have a headphone jack. Unplug these as well.

Update any audio drivers you may have. You may want to update your graphics drivers as well. Nvidia has it's own audio drivers that may not have been updated if you don't intend to use them, so double-check those as well.

Perform a clean boot as well. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.
