PvP queue frustration

I have 18 more wins to get the Raigo mount. I keep queuing for the feast, have tried both training and ranked with every job, different times of the day and night. I keep seeing an average queue time of 13 mins or so. 356 mins later my queue hasn't popped, or it did then someone withdrew. If I withdraw and try a different class it states the average wait time is then 9 minutes or something. I'm really not understanding!! Can people go in as a group?
I've tried frontlines, I'm in the flames with freelancer turned on. We rarely win and I'm really in a different free company so the role investment doesn't seem worth it.

Join maelstrom and turn off frontline freelancer. Queue times are fast on Crystal, but slow on Primal. Depends on time of day, and people have rode the panic wave for all the makai achievements already.

Yeah I think I might have to do that. I was enjoying feast, first time I'd really tried it but it's just not happening.

Im on crystal and it usually depends on what time you try to que, this time of the day you're going to be waiting. Around 4 P.M. CST is when the prime time for Frontline PVP starts, and as stated if you want a better chance to win join Maelstrom and turn off freelancer.

people stop doing feast every season after they have reached their desired rank, there may be some player feast revival events or days but you have to google that yourself.
