Will bards ever "sing" and play instruments

Bard should have been a future class. They could have given Archer another support job, one that better fits it.

What's funny is, since you say FFXI is a bad MMO and SE should take ideas from other MMORPGS that isn't FFXI Bard is usually unlocked through the Thief, Archer/Ranger or Assassin class tree, so you can't really say "one that better fits it" when according to almost every other MMO, Bard is the perfect fit for Archer.

Yeah, something more sorta like this (not exactly of course) but see how the bard is playing an instrument? I hope they get it worked out in 2.0 to play instruments. And to be able to make music out of combat would be incredible.

I was disappointed when doing the bard quests to find all my new abilities except one were stupid songs I'd never want to use. I'm a DD player, not a support player and I won't be your refresh bitch, nor are you having my TP. I don't think I'll ever be using BRD in a party setting. It's a shame SE has killed ranged DD. It's not even good solo since you need the distance to combo.

Too late, it already is. In fact it's worse since you can only do one song instead of two.

Wrong, you misunderstand what I mean by that statement. I mean I don't want the bard to play like they do in FFXI. Also I like the fact I can only have one song up because it makes us able to have 3 bards in the party get full buffs and fill the space of a DD if need be. A bard should never only be able to just buff and not participate in battles in other ways as well. Though I would like to see more songs and actually see it sung or played on a harp than it be a simple casting animation.

Killed ranged DD's? My Bard is more powerful than my Archer. I outparse my Archer damage. I don't get what your issue is.
