Will bards ever "sing" and play instruments

Too late, it already is. In fact it's worse since you can only do one song instead of two.

Consider this zet. In xi a bard with out a instrument of any type was only able to support one song as well.
as it is now Barcher is with out there barb. Perhaps once you guys have access to your bow from cybertron you just might have the ablity to keep two buffs up

Yeah, something more sorta like this (not exactly of course) but see how the bard is playing an instrument? I hope they get it worked out in 2.0 to play instruments. And to be able to make music out of combat would be incredible.

I was disappointed when doing the bard quests to find all my new abilities except one were stupid songs I'd never want to use. I'm a DD player, not a support player and I won't be your refresh bitch, nor are you having my TP. I don't think I'll ever be using BRD in a party setting. It's a shame SE has killed ranged DD. It's not even good solo since you need the distance to combo.

You do realize that Se has stated each class will have more tha one job later right? They could still very easily turn this into a different DD job later.
