Suggestion: Close Raid Roulete Loophole (Using low ilevel to force low level raids)

Why you ask Square-Enix community representative?

1. Because in NA/EU Datacenters people un-equip gear to decrease their item level so that they can then re-equip their i400 gear to breeze through the duty.
2. This creates a duty finder roulette problem, specially for alliance raid roulette. This means Heavensward and Stormblood 24 man raids are almost guaranteed to rarely, if ever appear. In dungeons this may not matter but 24 man raids require 24 people. You have people waiting for Dun Scaith or Void ark for 40+ minutes because of this oversight.

This loophole should be closed sometime during Shadowbringers. If people queu up with ilevel 80 then they should struggle through the duty with that ilevel.
This solution still allows those that want to force low level rouletes (but keeps them at that low ilevel) and gives the other Alliance Raid duties a chance to actually appear for those that need it.

I wanted to do Dun Scaith for glamours recently but the queues were always super long and I never got in. I thought it was because everyone was farming Syrcus Tower for the event, but now I have my doubts.

Though honestly doing The Orbonne Monastery twice today for coins was painful enough with people that were at the minimum ilevel or above. I don't need some loser coming in at an ilevel under 100 and expecting us to carry their lazy rear through it because they don't want to take the penalty for leaving. I'd rather not get in at all.

This happens because theres people queuing for the first three for mog tomes. not as many people are unequiping as you think.

No, this has been a known used loophole since for many months now. I don't know when you discovered it but this has been common practice/knowledge for at least over a year since they added alliance roulete.

No, they're right. Queue as a dps and watch your spot. It regularly only goes down by one or two spots, which means a lot of people are queueing directly for lvl 50 raids.

Edit: Wait, I'm thinking of main story queue, but the same principle likely applies. The main story dps queue is going down one or two spots at a time but I'm almost never getting the new player bonus which means a lot of people are queuing for it directly for mog tomes.

I think it's a good thing. /shrug Don't like it? Make a party finder. i get into the last 3 raids all the time, I don't see what the big deal is.

So.....you want to fix a loophole by locking somebody out of their inventory?
What if this hurts the overall group because you wanted to get back at a Healer, or a Tank? By doing this you could just hurt progression with an Alliance. Sure it'll be funny to some, but overall just silly.
And if this is a recent issue, remember that there is a MogTome event going on, so people are pushing Crystal Towers because it gives a good return, plus they are quick and easy raids

I'll repeat it for the last time in this thread. I noticed this way back when they added Alliance Raid Roulette, and it has been common knowledge that people do this to force level 50 raids for the roulette.
I am not suggesting this because I noticed it recently. I can count with 1 hand how many times I've queue'd into Void Ark and Dun Scaith this year.

The devs have the numbers, I'm pretty sure they've seen how little the Heavensward raids get ran. The community might want to use the loophole but it hurts the game and the intent of why they added the roulette.

People use the Roulette's for Tomes and Exp via Dailies.
So as annoying as it is for some, others might find it irrelevant and just want the Daily Rewards.

Which is why I'm directing this more towards SE directly, of course the players will use a loophole because they want their daily rewards fast. If they could force level 50/60 roulette to only queue into Brayflox HM without a care for what a roulette means they would. This is more about game design.
