Ninja level 54?

I am a bit confused on how to get quests for ninja after level 50, i cannot seem to find any quests available even though it told me i was ready to do my next job already. I believe I have done all the MSQ's so I really don't know what i'm missing. i can go to dragonhead, if that matters. I am at a loss... any help would be appreciated. thank you!

Have you complete the msq Before the Dawn yet? Are you able to enter Ishgard?

If yes, go back to East La Noscea and talk with Oboro.

If not, you need to keep doing msq untill you finish that quest and then see above.

where are you in the story? If you haven't gotten to Ishgard and started Heavensward then you are locked on job quests post 50 until you reach this point.

I think that i must have somehow missed a quest or two, because I have not done the "before the dawn" mission as mentioned above. I'm going to go through and try to find anything i missed. thank you for the reply's i appreciate it!!!

That's just MSQ quests. Story gates everything in this game. If you don't progress the story, you get locked out of doing other stuff that would otherwise be unlockable at your level. Gotta do it all in order. Just look for the blazing circle quest icons. Or there's also a HUD setting you may have enabled that shows your current story objective or something.
