Character is stuck in a duty / Not able to log in with main player character

So I queued for a duty last night, (Thok Ast Thok) and when I accepted the duty my game closed on me. I thought it was no big deal as I could re-log back in but and continue lik always but now I have no way of getting back in game. I can still use alts but my main character's location still shows as Thok Ast Thok which is the duty itself. Send in a support ticket but since it's the weekend they won't respond at all so I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this themselves and give me some insight or advice on how to get back in game. Any replies are much appreciated

Have you actually tried logging in with that character? Instead of just looking at their location? Usually it'll just spawn you into that duty alone after it completed if it's recent, or just put you back where you were when you log in. But it will always say Thok Ast Thok until you log in with that character again.

Oh yeah I've definitely tried logging in a bunch of times. But I get the error 90002 which says I lost connection. Some people were saying that it's because the duty is already closed and finished but my character is still recognized as there so I can't log in.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

This error is caused by the system still recognizing the character as logged into the instance. Usually it should take about 24 hours for the issue to resolve itself. Do you experience this issue with any other character? If it is only happening with this one character, you may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

    Hope to see you online!
