Outside furnishings in general need a cap increase by 10. My yard is well decorated, and you'd think I'd be able to add a bit more...except I hit the cap already for my small house. I have a few unused spaces I'd like to use but cannot unless they increase the cap.
think max can have in my medium house yard is 30 items. If want use all snow plots have in storage my yard would be bare. Thinking small and a medium has same cap for the yards.
Their biggest hurdle with outdoor furnishing is you're loading up the whole ward, not just your house. Currently that's 730 per ward + the exterior fixture customizations. Each 1 additional furniture slot allotted is a potential of an additional 30 objects.
Just another reason to have optional instanced housing!
Still don't know why they won't just give us both. Apartments are a great start, but they are a mere closet compared to a large and have no outdoor space.
Not trying to troll but for a game such Fallout 4 with similar world map building, they basically forced a building limit as well. They also warned the modding community that if you bypass the building limit they don't grantee engine stability. I assume garden area would be similar in this game? I do agreed they can give us more space for interior tho
So how would increasing outside furnishing cause problems for the engine. Main Cities have way more items in them and engine has no problems with them. I don't see how that effect it much if they even increased it by 10 items for each plot. All they have to do is render further plots away where didn't show furnishings. If there having so many problems with engine being limited maybe they need save up and replace it with better version one or another one completely.
The main cities are static and stored on your local machine. The housing info has to be sent from the server and constantly updated for changes made. As far as how it affects things, only SE has that info. They were looking into increasing outdoor furniture after the indoor furniture had been increased last and we've been told since then that an outdoor upgrade wasn't going to be happening at this time.So how would increasing outside furnishing cause problems for the engine. The limit on small houses maybe it is enough or not.
But on medium and especially on large houses it's too low.
There are small items wich can add detail but we cant place them because of the limit.
You always end up with some corner or room that feels empty.
The limit needs to be increased.

Thanks!!
It looks better from the side, this is just pic from the stairs so that I could get everything to fit into the picture... there's a Moogle looking at the one in the bucket and they are "Hearting" each other ... so cute.
Once it's finished I'll open it up to the public... I have a beautiful open-spaced chapel in the basement that I really love. Which took over 100 items to build and its SOO not cluttered at all *ug* need more item count. It's not finished yet, getting the wax for the candles has been very difficult as well as the rugs. I also love my mega fish tank with all the rare fish (not the rainbow one yet).
Here is the count for the picture.
6 x Hingan Bench
4 x Potted Spider Plant
1 x II Mheg Flower Lamp
1 x Mellow Mog Lamp
2 x Bamboo Planter
3 x Doman Dogwood
2 x Stuffed Moogle
4 x Planter Partition
4 x Glade Flowerpot w/purple daisies (may switch out *shrugs*)
1 x Hingan Fire Pitt (Dyed Shale Brown Dye)
1 x Oriental Bathtub
Total Item Count = 29
