    Completely agree

    I think they need to double triple and quadruple the limit. it should be based on volume or sqft. Problem is, small has a basement that is 1.5 times the size of the first floor while only raising the limit by 100% from apartment. It only gets worse from there. Medium is approximately 3.5-3x the sqft of a small and only has a 50% increase in item count from small. Another way to put it is it is over 6x the sqft of an apartment and only has 3x the item amount. The large is approximately 2x the sqft of the medium or 12x the size of an apartment... and it only has 4 times the amount of item slots. You can see why there is a problem.

    No idea if they can pull it off considering the past limitations, but I'd seriously love to see the caps raised. I keep having to take things down to put new furniture I get in my house, and still have half a retainer full of furniture that I can't use. Just partitioning off rooms takes up a ton of slots by itself.

    Yes and for Gardens too, pls. I had such a cute Idea for a super cozy corner with a lot of trees, very lush Overall but it was just a corner, the Rest of the Garden was just empty space which didnt look great so I had to completely redecorate. :c
    20 freaking Slots for S is way too little, and I didnt even had a stable and a gardening plot...

    Mainly I just want to see something like this paired with the item preview functionality. Being able to preview items is nice, but I'd really like to be able to make a layout of items I don't have currently, and once I have it all set, be able to be able to do something like dump my new items from storage and then press a "fill layout from storage" button or something that'd pull missing items from storage + place them.

    So I could make a whole kitchen layout before owning the items, and then once I know I like the way it looks, buy all the items and just dump them in my house into the layout, or a bedroom, etc.

    I just want another 100 items for a small myself. Mediums I think have a healthy amount, but 100 more wouldn't hurt.

    For mansions? Truly, I'd say double. Realistically? 200. Really. Mansions are so large they need extra slots to really make a grand house.

    Personally, I think the outside furnishing limit needs to be increased because not all furnishings are equal in size. I think it's crazy if I have the space, I can't have 4 oblong gardens, I am limited to one.

    I've used up 20 furnishings on my small house plot and my yard looks almost vacant.

    They should increase the furnishing cap just because they're introducing more and more intricate sets and features, allowing for more detail when you put several furnishings together. Detail oriented design always takes up a lot more of your furnishing budget.

    Increasing cap is best but at least give us bigger version of lots of stuff... like a lump of tree as one decoration called mini forest, double or even triple partition etc etc

    But yeah 400 for L is not good at all and the storage is also 400 so when you want to relocation you bassically need to empty it which is meh

    Lemme break it up:

    Small houses:
    Interior: The limit is fine. 200 items are more than enough for a small plot.
    Exterior: 20 items is definitely not enough.

    Medium houses:
    Interior: 300 items works, but it's kinda limiting. When our FC had a medium plot, we had quite some empty space, when we reached the cap.
    Exterior: 30 items for a medium plot is also not enough.

    Large houses:
    Interior: 400 items doesn't work at all. If you want to have thoroughly decorated rooms you reach the cap after 1.5 floors. The limit for furnishing in a large house definitely has to be increased by a lot.

    My suggestions:
    Small plots: Interior (200 -> 200), Exterior (20 -> 30)
    Medium plots: Interior (300 -> 400), Exterior (30 -> 40)
    Large plots: Interior (400 -> 600), Exterior (40 -> 50)

    Then everything should be fine.

    I've seen a number of these posts lately, both here and on the housing forum. Personally, I'd like to see a straight doubling of everything across the board inside and outside. Apartments even could use more slots. Especially if you're creating lofted designs to maximize that vertical space. So the breakdown would look something like this (and I am totally copying the template from above lol):

    Apartments: Interior (100 -> 200), Exterior N/A
    Small plots: Interior (200 -> 400), Exterior (20 -> 40)
    Medium plots: Interior (300 -> 600), Exterior (30 -> 60)
    Large plots: Interior (400 -> 800), Exterior (40 -> 80)

    I know there's a lot of folks who like to say that's too much for some sizes. However, decorating is constantly evolving, and new furnishings are constantly coming out. Having struggled to fully decorate houses since my very first small, I would much rather have too many slots than not enough. It would be very nice if I could actually achieve both a complete and lived in look AND have enough slots left over so I don't have to wonder what to take down so I can put up my christmas or halloween decorations.
