He didnt say they werent going to do it at all. He said they were not planning to do it any time in the near future. Most likely due to other more serious priorities.

Like the housing issues itself with an expanding population and very limited housing plots, glamour system updates, armory chest updates, increasing furniture is a huge task and a huge load on the servers. So they will likely do extensive testing on the back end to make sure the servers can handle an increased load.

Given the size of this expansion and what is shaping to be a massive 5.1 id be willing to bet the earliest they may even consider it is 5.3 and we probably wont see fruits of that til sometime after that maybe 6.0

I honestly do think an increase is coming just not so close to the exp dropping. The servers would die forever if they did that.

That's entirely excessive, especially for a small house or apartment. At the most, I think maybe +100 from the implemented caps. Mainly for large houses because that downstairs is just so massive, With 400 items, it's hard to decorate 3 floors with one having such a massive space without it looking so barren unless you wall off tons of space.

As someone that really needs the furnishing caps to increase (I have so many items collecting dust in the storage because I can't place them in my house, despite having the proper physical space to place them T_T), I would still prefer if instead they allocate those additional server's resources in adding more shards and housing areas so that more people can get their houses. Ideally I would like us to get both, but I know how messed up the system is and how they won't change it at this point.

I guess that that's why they aren't increasing it, too, considering how the Ishgard housing is supposed to be coming soon.

400 slots for a mansion just isn't enough. 200 for a small is overkill in my opinion although that's not to say some won't use all of them. Mediums at 400 are reasonable but even so for those who use many items to create partitions and new walls etc those slots can be used up pretty quickly.

I've fully decorated my mansion in Shirogane on Siren but really would love at least another 100 (200 would be amazing) slots to help populate the spaces. I haven't walled off any areas and I think I've done a pretty good job to make the place look full but it's missing many of the special touches that would make my house look more lived in and special.

Camera is really an issue in smaller houses. Imo, mainly due to the fact that door partitions are considered to be "open spaces" between walls. While your camera angle doesn't go through the wall partitions (once you turn your back to them), it sadly does in door partitions. Its really annoying. Although we can always adjust the camera to see the room as it was intended by the owner (sort of), changing this specific issue would greatly improve perspective.
