I think we're going to get no where, since you're making it sound like c++ 101 and SE be done but I don't believe our devs are sitting on such a simple solution and going "hahahahaha we made it 400, we could make it a million but LOL we wont. I could be wrong though .

Also as an aside I've taken quite a few computer programming classes, I know what a boolean is lol.



Well if you want a preview of every item but not an actual storage of every item then yeah that'd be all local so sure why not lol. But it probably becomes a bit different when it's thousands of yes and nos to be stored and passed for every player in the game.

That said if you can make it done for them then please go do it, I'd love the log man lol.

A glamour wardrobe system where you can try on any outfit in the game that you don't own has already been made. You can even try on the things that are gender locked. It's 3rd party so obviously, I can't link it and it's against the TOS. But it furthers the question, if someone else can do it...

I think maybe I misunderstood you, I thought you meant take our 400 items and make it 5000 or whatever our current amount is of items. If you just want a UI that lets you look at gear then I imagine that's within their means with little to no server cost (just development time cost) if they felt like doing it.

I assumed you were talking about something like WoW has where its like our glamour dresser (sometimes called log) but it holds thousands of items and took Blizzard quite the dev power to make.

I'd love the second one lol, but being able to just check out gear could be fun too. Either way I'm not opposed to this thread lol. Good luck to us .

Mate, a yes/no function is the most basic of all functions. It's a 1 or a 0. It doesn't matter how many items or people there are. It's not a strain, its not a mass amount of data. Any developer will tell you the same. Storing items on each character is a strain. Which is why, as I've mentioned, they can only allow the dresser in the Inn.

Truthfully, even in the system, I'm proposing, this would also not be able to be accessed anywhere. It would need to stay in the Inn as well, probably,. The housing system they're showing is only able to be accessed with in housing.

With the preview system you've just mentioned if we can have that for housing, then why not glamour?

Not to mention that they can compress an entire set, or even an entire tier of equipment for that single bit. The most strenuous part would would just be the initial check to confirm if you have all said items in possession before flipping that bit...

Honestly, I have high doubts that this is about money, that buying retainer space. If they want purchases from mog all they gotta do is put shiny dresses in, you know? I think this is about a bad system, they've already implemented and feel like they have to stick with, spaghetti code and resources. At the moment your character carries so much data, it's ridiculous. I have no idea why they don't just move it to a central system.

So, like everything else I guess but MAN that slap in the face getting it with the housing stuff instead.

If they have to disable current Glamour dresser for a time to give us a system like this, I am TOTALLY OK WITH THAT.

That's what I'm saying. They didn't want to put enough resources into the bad system to make it a good system.

I mean... a database with all the necessary glamour items would be at least 10x bigger than the one for housing even without counting having to load for each race and gender , but sure, it's exactly portable. 9__9

I think the complaint may have more to do with the fact that not everyone can actually get a house and something that many wanted are only available for a select number.

It doesn't matter if you're a raider, a casual, pvp, RPer.

Glamour is the true end game. I think everyone agrees on that.

The sets in this game is are so beautiful. It's such a shame they're all behind such a limited, bulky system.

....The new system has literally nothing to do with owning a house. You don't have to own one to use that system. And FC rooms and apartments are a thing so that's not even a good argument.

Glamour is not the end game. It may be YOUR end game. I find it amusing you think because they created one system for furniture it would be very easy to apply this to the glamour system as well. Stick to your day job OP.
