Automatic logoff timer for AFK players on launch

Not completely exit the client, but return to the "Start Screen" or character selection screen.

SE has done it on previous releases where the congestion was severe, but personally I really feel like it would be best for their server loads, and probably ISP routing if there were less "useless" concurrent connections to their servers.

While you can now World Visit to the least congested shard, I think a lot of people would really like to avoid such "workaround".

I'm frequently having to hop between my main and my alts, and having a queue of 5-50 people everytime, while I see people AFK in the main cities for a day, and some even weeks!

Did they state they wouldn't be doing it this time or something? It's so standard at this point I just assumed it'd be happening again. We don't need Lobby Savage on top of whatever repeat of Raubahn and Pippin Savage we're bound to get.

It's pretty standard yeah. So standard in fact, that most players who have been around awhile know how to circumvent the afk timer anyway. That said, if you know you're not going to be playing for awhile, please be courteous and log out so others can have an enjoyable experience as well.

Except korean pay to play games i've never seen a game to determined to NOT kick a player for inactivity!
BUT!
They'll kick your out of your solo undersized instance if you *happen* to have an emergency like someone at the door or bathroom.

I really hope they do it, it’s so annoying when people just go on the MB and afk while people who actually want to play the game are stuck waiting in a queue

If things get too bad, and people are exploiting the loopholes to avoid the timeout, they'll go one step further and do a mass disconnect on all the servers once every 24 hours to boot all the perma AFK people.

I kinda hope they disable world visit too with it, I don't wanna imagine how bad the congestion will be with that on top of no afk boot.

In the LL52, they said that players could use it to avoid congested servers... so they actually thought that we'd hop servers to avoid congestion.
I don't want to have to hop servers because of AFK people!

Definitely agree. Much as I love this feature I don't want to have to fight to get onto my own server any more than I'll already have to.
