Casting for loot, but then leaving the dugneon

So, newbie, just finished Sastacha. On the final loot drop I rolled Need and then left the dungeon. I didn't get the loot, and I was wondering if I should've waited around, or if you get the loot after you leave the dungeon, should you win the roll?

Loot doesn't drop until everyone rolls, passes or the timer runs out. At the end of the dungeon if you want to loot from the final boss you have to wait. Need doesn't make the loot auto drop to you.

If you leave after rolling but before loot is distributed, your rolls are all changed to Pass.
