Changing Roles for 5.0?

1. Which is your current/main/favorite role (tank, healer, dps) in FFXIV?

2. Are you considering trying out or changing to a different role for the launch of Shadowbringers?

3. If so, which role are you considering? Any particular job for that role?

4. Are you switching because: A) don't like changes to you current role/associated jobs, B) really like changes to other role, C) a job in another role looks much more appealing/exciting, D) just need a change of pace, E) other

5. If you are tempted to try something different or change roles but are hesitant, what is holding you back?

I'm on the fence myself with so many new things to try.

Healer / Whitemage

Whitemage since beginning and that likely will never change.

3. If so, which role are you considering? Any particular job for that role?
Not switching off from heal main so yeah..
But my go-to dps are monk, redmage and bard (pretty interested in dancer too)

I main heal for the majority of my duty finder adventures, sometimes i just go dps or tank to have a change of pace.

Not changing main role anytime soon so that answers the question

Healer, Scholar

Yes... but I have issues with control, if I can't control my own HP it feels wrong so I am going to play Scholar on SHB before I make my final choice.

Probably Warrior or Bard/Dancer.

The control thing, but also because I like healing and want to do it, but the idea of healing with 0.5% damage dealing is really not my thing. The changes to SCH healing skills are fine, it's the damage skills that are the problem.

Been a healer main since the beginning and in every MMO I've played. It's relaxing and all the other roles tend to be stressful in their own way. I did level every role, though, 'cause it's helpful to know the rotations/defensive cooldowns and such of other classes.

I'm gonna stick to healing in this expansion as well, though as I'm a SCH main, I'll likely go through the story as SMN so I don't get stuck with healer DPS in solo sections, then swap back to SCH for actual content.

Might looking into Tanking more seriously, too, but healer is always gonna be my first choice.

I'm currently running all 3 roles, having recently picked up healer last month. I'd say Dps > Tank = Heal is my preference, but it's close and having a bit of variety and a change of pace keeps things interesting. It also gives you a better perspective of other roles, knowing as a tank what your healer is capable of or vice versa for example.

Hoping to continue all 3 in ShB, will level a dps first though. Most likely Sam, War and WHM.

NIN, I've always been a sucker for double blade wielding jobs

2. Are you considering trying out or changing to a different role for the launch of Shadowbringers?
I always level them all, not a fan of healing myself, so that may be why I have over 7k FATE in my achievement logs...

3. If so, which role are you considering? Any particular job for that role?
Hrm, I am curious about the mechanics of several jobs, GNB in particular. Im currently more curious about MCH and SAM in terms of DPS roles.

E), its not like Im changing, I just pick different jobs for change of pace on secondary stuff, after all Im pretty sure that once I get used to NIN at 80 I will refuse to be anything but 80.

Hrm... not really changing, but will be more like "what do I feel like playing today?" thing.
