LOL SE why (( SE thinks I'm being hacked, by SE) AUTHENTICATION ERROR

So tonight I went to preorder the new SE TACTICAL ASSAULT COMMANDER F14 FINAL FANTASY® XIV EDITION, but SEStore said I had to change my password to login, so then I changed my password, but for some reason then SEStore won't let me preorder the thing until I log in with my Square Enix Account, which is different from SEStore Account, apparently..so... I do all that... forget to preorder the thing, and then FFXIV CLIENT just kicked me off due to "suspicious behavior with my password.

Password reset and all is well but what a chocobo-cluck.

whenever you log into the main site, it collects your ipv6 address and not your ipv4, the game launcher collects your ipv4 and not ipv6. so every time you log into the store it thinks some new IP is trying to get into your account.

I don't get it. How does it work for people who disable ipv6 on their computers? Is our ipv4 traffic being converted to ipv6 behind the scenes by the router hardware or something?
