I for one hope 5.0 Relic will not involve Eureka or if it does have another option of obtaining Relic
I was hoping for actual players that finished the weapon with the elemental bonus of 100 Eureka Fragment to have and give an opinion about this.
Everyone else can stay off this thread, thanks. High are the chances that you don't know what are you talking about.
And thank you for the ones contributing with this thread, you know who you are.
With the full elemental bonus gear + weapon you can even tank with 5 magicites on attack with a dps Job, that's how powerfull it is. It is a Godsend hand for any previous Eureka maps, you can solo pretty much everything with the right setup.
We didn't get any previous relics of new jobs and that's fine, because the only motive was glamour. This is different, the primordial motive is the Elemental Bonus, and thus giving purpose of having this weapon (not even calling relic, because Elemental Bonus is all what matters).
And Eureka is not dead, and I don't see it dieing in any time. With the genius scaling system, one can complete anything in there. I've been playing Eureka a lot, have made friends there, and in BA too. You're free to stay away from it, but don't call it dead when it's relevant for some players. For example, It's not right to call Ultimate a dead content just because a minority do it. It's a type of content that fills it purpose, and that's it.
I kind of hope they just unsync Eureka. Let you go in at level 80 with ilvl 500 or whatever we get to and wreck up the place.
I’ve got a finished AST weapon and I’ve cleared BA. So, if your assumptions were aimed at me, they are incorrect.I was hoping for actual players that finished the weapon with the elemental bonus of 100 Eureka Fragment to have and give an opinion about this.

While powerful, they aren’t entirely necessary to clear BA. Nor are they mandatory for progression through other Eureka stages.
We don’t even know how active Hydatos or BA will be in 5.0. Considering Diadem and the EM are more or less dead unless you coordinate outside of the game, it’s not very promising. That said, the left side gear for DNC and GNB are all shareable (DNC is Aiming, and GNB is Fending, so if you have the sets upgraded for those, just slap them on a Eureka set for DNC/GNB). BA is more than possible without an elemental weapon should one chose to do it on DNC/GNB (I cleared it without my weapon upgraded). You don’t even need elemental gear to clear—it’s not necessary, it’s just extra points. We didn't get any previous relics of new jobs and that's fine, because the only motive was glamour. This is different, the primordial motive is the Elemental Bonus, and thus giving purpose of having this weapon (not even calling relic, because Elemental Bonus is all what matters).
I think many players that did Eureka only did it for the relic as glamour. BA clear rates for NA were about half of the clear rates for JP, which was roughly 50% of the players who entered/completed Hydatos did BA, according to unofficial censes. I believe NA was somewhere around 28%.
When the newest Eureka or equivalent piece of content shows up, people will migrate there—such is the way of content like this. Perhaps some will go back for relics or BA, but I don’t think it will be a large number of individuals. And, as I said above, it would still be more than possible without specific Elemental weapons for the new jobs. And Eureka is not dead, and I don't see it dieing in any time. I'd rather have Anima weapons for the new classes. The final versions actually look good in my opinion.
You did help this thread with a interesting information, which was about a logical thought of previous relics not being added, and I did thank you for that. My statement about previously relics not being added was in my second comment because of yours indeed.
Sure, it's possible to complete without the weapon, but the weapon with the elemental bonus itself is a reward, valuable for the ones that want to use it to farm faster in Eureka, either Gil of the actual items. Not having the weapon for those jobs will just turn these jobs not desired to be played in eureka. I would like to farm with them, without having to feel unfortunate about it. The weapon gives the sum of the amount of the gear, so it's like half of the elemntal bonus are not there for the new jobs.
I feel that they could fix this situation with ease, without making anyone sad.

I have a better idea. It would involve dropping a few Dalamuds on top of Eureka and glassing whatever remains from orbit, which might seem like a lot of effort but I'm sure many would agree the results would be worth it n_~
Eureka salt aside, I'm not really opposed to the idea of retroactively adding Eureka Relics for the new jobs. I don't personally care but if anyone does, that's a valid suggestion.
However, I don't see it realistically happening. Eureka, by all evidence, seems to have been designed as a limited-time event, and as soon as ShB comes out, it will have reached its planned obsolescence date.

Update on information.
As of today when I speak to Gerolt, as a GBN, it says "Create or Augment Eureka gear. (Gunbreaker)" in the first option, but when I select it, Gerolt simply closes the dialog interface.
