    Wanted: Method for increasing HQ drops.

    When I'm out looking for HQ crafting materials, I can use Unearth III (mining) or Leaf Turn III to get a 30% boost for HQ collecting for 300 GP

    However, if I have to kill things for material drops, there's no way to increase the HQ rate, and it usually takes forever to get enough. We need an equivalent for gathering beast drop items.

    Lacking a resource like GP on DPS character, I suppose they could just increase the HQ drop rate to be equivalent to a gatherer using the 30% boost on 5, or 6-item nodes with cordials when available.

    I second this, although I'm not sure about the best way to implement it.

    Do you treat it like gathering classes? Do you add a role action for combat jobs?

    I dont see why not I mean fighting abunch of enemies to get HQ is just as challenging and time consuming as playing a crafting mini game.

    Personally I'd do exactly as you said and just increase the HQ drop rate.

    A role action might work. Increase HQ drops by 30% for the next 5 kills, with a 2m cooldown.

    I'd just rather have a 4th gather. Maybe called a trapper or something. Where they can just gather the items that are combat drops only right now. Idc even if it was rng similar to Fisher for the creature you get for those items.

    Maybe they could use the atual chain system to reward on chain 4 a HQ with 100% chance, without removing chance of HQ drop from other chains.

    Rather than additional skills or items, or a flat HQ rate increase, maybe HQ rates should scale with level.
    At equal level to the enemies, it's the current HQ rate, and it increases from there up to 50% at say 10 or 20 levels higher.

    Either a craft-able item(s) (think Bacon Broth and Tinker's Calm for Careful Desynthesis) or perhaps a new Squadron Manual.

    Personally having to get mats from mobs alone is a real pain in the a**. So I had decided to go another method. Retainers. I have nine retainers and currently have at least 5 of them out getting me specific mats that are rough and useful in major crafts from Twincoons, Manzasiri Hair, Gazelle Hide, etc. Had been able to get roughly near 300 in only a few days(reseting at max about 2-3 per day unless weekend.) And with each I had obtained at least 100+ HQ mats. The retainer brings back 10 total each trip. This is the best alternative imho to getting monster mob mats.

    I know it’s not a complete list but can’t your combat retainers farm up hides and bone and whatnot and usually bring in a fair amount of HQ based on their gear?
