Gaining a fourth Adventure Squad recruit from the Hunting Log

I've reached 2nd Lnt with the Adders and am told I need to find a fourth member to continue further and that they're unlocked through the hunting log. I'm currently working through the Battles category, but the last one, ".

I think you got the Hunting Log confused with the Challenge log. The first one unlocks as you get promoted and is for classes only, the second is a completely optional log in game which rewards you for completing certain things.
