The ultimate duo, imo, would be a tank/healer. DPS are a dime a dozen for duty finders and such, but if you have both, I can imagine it may go alot faster. My roommate and I did that for a while and we were a powerhouse, ev en outside of duties.

I tried to get my GF into it. She began as a Arcanist and leveled until about 17 before she ultimately got bored. She didn't like the fact that there are so many cutscenes at the start of the game and there are a ton of single-player story missions were we can't play together which makes her feel like it defeats the purpose of us playing together.

Even with my promises that we'll eventually move into being able to do dungeons together, she still just gets kind of bored with the ARR story. Which I can totally understand. Buying a jump potion is out of the question because I'd personally like for her to actually learn how to play the game the proper way.

If anything, SE needs to do something about the ARR questline. I feel like it's the most off-putting thing for new players....but that's a topic for another thread.
