My spouse got ME into the game xD
Don't touch me there
My wife plays on and off. She mained whm, leveled nin and rdm on the side.
From my personal experience getting my spouse to play (who is pretty much new to MMOs)...
She is rather uneasy with playing tanks, due to their being expected to "lead" through a dungeon. Until you've learned dungeon layouts well, this can be intimidating. Just the other day she got extremely flustered trying to get around the big room before the 2nd boss in Wanderer's Palace because she had no idea where to go or that things needed to be clicked + where they were, and the rest of the party just seemed to be following her around.
I'd say any DPS class other than pugilist or thaumaturge. These two eventually get a little bit more finesse involved and when they are played badly, it REALLY shows; all it takes is to see a stationary MNK or an "ice mage" in the DF to remind you of this.
Yeah, no, it isn't that simple, sorry.Any class at all.
This games combat is so laughably easy that it doesn't matter what class you play, as long as you mastered reading, you can do just fine with any class.
Tell her that she could change and customise her character however she wants.Anyone have any luck getting there spouse/partner into this game? I'd like to get my girlfriend to play this with me but it would be her first mmo and she's not much of a gamer either. She says she is willing to try though.
Any tips or suggestions to ease her into it? She would be on ps4.
What do you think is the most starter friendly class?![]()
Invite her to play with you, in a sense you do not hide that emotion of really wanting your partner to do this activity with you and guarantee your support also respect your partner time to adapt to the game interface.Anyone have any luck getting there spouse/partner into this game? Explain the basic formula of the game previously so your partner can decide, if yes with time do the MSQ with your half (Game Plus option) the important is for you both be together.
Other fun aspects of the game that might be convincing to join you:
△ MSQ;
△ Minions design;
△ Relic weapon;
△ Mounts design;
△ Haircut, fashion and fantasia options;
△ PvP (Rival wings);
△ Housing system (show her a interior decoration in game on youtube you have plenty here is one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5etT-MUA7Ck).
It worked for me.
Ah offer her a jewel that you can afford (doesn't matter if is valuable or not) remember is an eternal good memory of you both and also a way of you to show how important is to celebrate one activity together for the couple dynamic.
As for the friendly class not sure bard might be the easier dps and later dancer as support, does not get the initial stress of leading (tank) and the stress of being able to keep everyone alive (healer).
/sorry bad english

i did once upon a time. but when i lead raids, i do have a "no couples" rule solidly enforced.
^if situations like this rise ignore it, once you get your partner to play with you find a free company that welcome irl couples or online couples or even if you find a free company who scratches their jealousy all over your faces just ignore it and have fun both of you together.

My husband and I play games together since .. well, before we got married. I guess it helps if they are into games overall.Anyone have any luck getting there spouse/partner into this game? If not, it's okay. You could have her start as a DPS class, as it seems to be the easiest to do on a PS4 controller. Maybe ... an Archer? (I don't have PS4 controller so can't really say).
If not, maybe she likes something else in games or whatnot?
