I'd say Bard or other highly mobile jobs (easy to dodge, no cast times, no positional - good intro to gaming, unless she's naturally gifted).. Red Mage might be another good choice (which you can't start as lol). Would also help if you can greatly reduce queue times with her when when you need (I see you have a healer so that's good).
Tank and a healer combo would be cute, but that's going to be a lot of dungeons of her getting peeled in early content because everyone is OP and tanks only have part of their kit and also that responsibility stress like healers have later (which she may or may not like, so that's a bit more dangerous first try job).
Although job identity is pretty important, even if it's maybe not the easiest first job. If they LOVE magic and hate brute force sweaty spartan then urging them to be warrior would probably quickly kill the game.
I'd maybe get a few ideas together for hanging out outside of the core, like helping her to unlock dye/glamour on time, golden saucer fun, and other systems like DoL/DoH, "maybe" pvp if you're into it, an apartment if she likes yours/share housing, some beautiful places to stop by, and some other cadence breakers just in case the journey gets a bit too same same/long (that MSQ is going to be a very long journey lol). Be careful rushing that journey, because it's basically un-rushable unless you just intend to skip everything. Selling 100 hours of pressing "skip cutscene" is going to be a hard sell, so make sure it doesn't feel like a chore by like "COME ON SKIP IT YOU CAN SEE IT LATER" lol. Rather be patient or even interested in revelations (that you'll already know) or help her out by having some of the silly items like the "soup" quest prepared in advance. Patience will be important :P (maybe bring some fishing supplies so you can twiddle your thumbs peacefully while you wait).
Keep an eye on job quest. I'd also spend a little time after she's played a bit (probably wont know what she likes right away, cause it's a new game) or a number of abilities are added to make sure her hotkeys, UI, bar, and all that isn't a mess (especially in her opinion, not yours haha
). Maybe she can check yours and let you know when something should be improved/changed.
Also don't forget to use the buddy invite a friend thing for the bonus teleport item, exp, and other goodies. That and to pick up your free heavensward copy.
