Dark knight materia

Hello. I've recently returned and I've been gone so long I might as well be new again lol...i have been using dark knight to progress the story. I've been wanting to add materia to gear and am trying to remember what would be best. I have noticed strength on all accessories is the way to go apparently, but as for the armor pieces I'm unsure. I'm still about level 52, so suggestions for that level and going forward would be helpful.

Materia's a bit pointless unless you're at level cap with gear you're going to hold onto for a while. As long as you're keeping gear up to the level of content you're doing, your stats are more than fine to get you through.

I suppose since it's guaranteed to retrieve the materia you'd be putting on, there's no real harm in it if you've got the materia lying around. Probably wouldn't go to the trouble of spending too much to stock up. As for what, if you're gonna do it anyway, couldn't tell you myself, for aforementioned reasons.

But somebody's probably going to come here pointing out whatever changes are coming to materia at 5.0 which could possibly negate any current advice.

Yeah, it's 100% chance to retrieve up to grade four materia.

The secondary stats you choose are a matter of personal preference.

I had some strength materia and threw it into a ring after doing some research on older versions of the game.I guess I keep forgetting how much has been added since I was gone lol. I suppose I'll wait till I hit cap, which by that point shadowbringers should be out. We then can see said changes and see the new way to go at that time.

I myself use tenacity and skill speed or direct hit.

You don't have to copy me but tenacity is good.
