An option for characters to start at level 50, pre-heavensward, for FREE

As time goes by, I believe that it’s getting harder and harder to get new players into the game. I believe the game’s quality skyrocketed ever since heavensward.

I know lots of people think jump potions should be purchased, but as time goes by I think jump potions shouldn’t be the only option for players to catch up. Starting level 50 from Heavensward makes the most sense to me so we get new characters without disrespecting existing players.

    EDIT:
WOW ! This post blew up!
Thanks for the (mostly) civil discussion, I feel like I need to addressing some common threads.
Would I rather they reworked the story? Obviously, but YoshiP did mention that wasn’t a possibility, the amount of time and resources needed outnumber just making new content.
Do I believe this will make us have an influx of “bad” players? No, I don’t believe ARR’s content is challenging right now, nor do I believe players at level 50 have really learnt much
Is this the same as skipping to the end, should players get some context for heavensward? Yes they should, but it shouldn’t take much to give people a bit of lore dump, and no it’s not like skipping to the end. I think most people would agree that the game really picks up from heavensward.

I think that ARR's lvl 50 story quests need to be consolidated. Beyond that no, I don't think much needs to be done.

As a new player, I am enjoying the leveling process. I personally don't find the idea of starting at level 50 attractive in the least. WoW went this route, and they effectively killed their game. I'm pretty happy with this game's pre-level 50 quality right now, and if it's even better post-level 50, then I have something to look forward to. I don't see any compelling reasons for a boost to 50. It's not like you even need to level characters from scratch to change classes/jobs.

I'm highly against this. They need to cut down the number of quests for sure, but just getting handed a free level 50 is a terrible idea for many reasons.

That's the incorrect solution to the earlygame MSQ. That MSQ isn't bad for the story its trying to tell. We just need to allow the devs to streamline that experience (Basically cutting out all the fetch quests and generally improving the way "talk to that guy and come back" quests work)

Problem is .. Would this community accept a patch that was lighter in content to allow them time to dedicate the quest teams to fixing up that period of the MSQ?
In all honesty, it would probably require an expansion to revolutionise it.

To be completely fair, it isn't level skips that are killing WoW. It is ignorance and hubris that are killing it.

It would be daunting for new players, to suddenly be given a dozen of combat attacks and abilities without even knowing what a combo is or how the basics of combat works. The big problem with getting into HW is the MSQ filler which grinds the leveling process to a complete halt for about a dozen hours for fetch quests that have no rewards.

Much like other threads of hte same calibur, No, you shouldnt get jump potions. New Players should play ARR. However, streamlining some parts isnt a bad idea, particularly in 2.1-2.55. Best solution Ive had was to take some of the MSQ quests out of the MSQ and list them as content side quests. Theyre still in the game, you can experience them if you want to, but now their side material so you can expedite some of the leveling involved.

Especially for new players to the genre(which there are a lot, considering the FF single player fan draw) ARR is necessary as a teaching tool, so no. I really don't want to subject some brand new, only played FFXV, bright eyed newbie to the Sohm Al bosses just because they think using a sword and shield makes them look like Gladio. And that's just the second dungeon of HW...
